Local roots
The day I turned 18, I called a small, family-owned electrical contractor and asked for an interview. I had the interview the next day, before I had even graduated high school. I have been in the trade ever since, and I always knew I wanted to build my own company here at home.
I grew up in Coeur d'Alene and graduated from Lake City High School in 2020, where I served as student body president and a cross-country captain. Growing up here taught me two things I still live by: put people first, and treat your word and reputation as something worth protecting.
If people cannot trust you, there is no reason for them to work with you.
Before founding Shaka Electric, I spent years in the field with other contractors in North Idaho, Boise, and the surrounding region. I wanted to understand every side of the trade: custom homes, service and troubleshooting, and large commercial construction. Within a year at a large commercial contractor, I was leading crews of six to 16 people.
Before Shaka Electric
Homes from approximately 3,500 to 10,000 square feet, including projects with services up to 600 amps, changing plans, and finish-sensitive details.
Day-to-day field leadership on a 40,000-square-foot administrative building from rough-in to completion, plus full fire-alarm installation work in a seven-story parking garage.
An early-learning-center remodel completed between the start of summer break and the week teachers returned, while meeting the required deadlines and inspections.
Residential, commercial, and light-industrial service across North Idaho and the region - the part of the trade I enjoy most.

Why I came home
Shaka Electric was founded in Coeur d'Alene in 2026. We are beginning with service work and growing toward larger custom and design-build projects alongside local contractors and tradespeople who care about their craft.
A real conversation before the work starts.
No surprises when the scope changes.
Honesty, even when you do not need the bigger job.
Showing up on time, prepared, and respectful of your property.
When we finish, I want you to feel listened to.
Start the conversation
Whether the next step is troubleshooting a problem, planning a remodel, or coordinating a larger project before rough-in, the conversation starts with your goals and the space you are working with.
